Pay for Success: Investing in What Works White House Convening Report
On October 21st, 2011, Nonprofit Finance Fund, in partnership with the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, Hosted the Pay-For-Success: Investing in What Works convening, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation. The event brought together cross-sector stakeholders to identify the potential of the Pay For Success concept and opportunities to pursue Pay for Success pilot projects in the US. Convening participants included representatives from foundations, academia, intermediaries, service providers, trade associations, federal agencies, Congress and a large contingent of state and local government leaders who were the primary audience for the convening.
We are pleased to share with you the summary of conclusions from the convening. This report provides a synthesis and analysis of what we learned from bringing this group together, and identifies the Pay for Success challenges, opportunities and issue areas of interest for future projects.
