This paper is part of the Discussion Paper Series from The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Community & Economic Development Department. It is the first part of a two-part discussion paper that examines the opportunities for greater collaboration between the health and community development sectors to improve health outcomes. It introduces case studies in southeastern United States, and examines factors contributing to these emerging opportunities, the use of Pay for Success funding, and the benefits of greater collaboration.
